NAPS awarded generous grant

The Society for Endocrinology acknowledges work of NAPS

NAPS awarded a grant by the Society for Endocrinology

In July, NAPS received the very good news, that its application to the Society for Endocrinology, had resulted in an award being granted, which would enable the ageing IT system in the office to be upgraded.

NAPS invited the Society to make a statement in the bulletin regarding the award.

"The Society for Endocrinology is Britain's national charity promoting education of the public in all aspects of endocrinology.

"As well as educating scientists and doctors, we take an active interest in the welfare of patients with endocrine conditions and ensure that those who support them have access to good training and information.

"The Society for Endocrinology is delighted to be able to award the National Association for Premenstrual Syndrome a grant of £2000 to put towards updating their computer systems."

The generosity of the Society has made it possible to replace all four office computers, all with upgraded software.  This is not just extremely useful in terms of improving efficiency, but is a welcome development for the office volunteers who will no longer have to grapple with the frequent problems which occurred with the elderly system.

Thanks go to Mike Gilbert of PC Matters for providing and installing the new system and to Judith Mills for helping us deal with the problem of transferring the database.
