Women’s Health Conference

13 Oct 2006

For the first time NAPS members will be able to access the full powerpoint presentations given by the country’s experts via NAPS website www.pms.org.uk.

These presentations are free to download and can be used (providing credit is given to the originator) to educate others in these wide variety of women’s health topics.

On September 29 over 100 delegates assembled at the Darwin Conference Centre at the University of Kent, Canterbury, for the latest NAPS clinical conference and declared it a tremendous success. The audience was made up of a wide variety of interested people – from the Police, advocacy groups, GP’s, nurses, nutritionists, homeopaths, psychotherapists, patients, the WI .... to name but a few.

These delegates had nothing but praise for the day.

‘Good selection of speakers, Interesting backgrounds of people attending’,

‘Thoroughly enjoyed Conference – learnt a lot!'

'Nice Venue.  Well organised / well presented. Stimulating & educational'

As always, our speakers, all eminent leaders in their specialists fields, were excellent. Our own experts Nick Panay, Professor John Studd, Gilly Andrews, Claudine Domoney and Gaynor Bussell, were joined by Dr Ruth Wilson, breast clinician at Kent and Canterbury, Susan Quilliam, relationship psychologist and Louise Cadman, senior research nurse for Cancer UK. Perhaps one of the most revealing presentations was given by Tracey Gladman a NAPS member and patient sufferer.

NAPS would like to thank everyone who contributed to this prestigious conference, from the speakers to the exhibitors, Aquaban, Wyeth, Mooncup and daisybox.com and to the University of Kent who provided us with the setting for such a successful event.

Next NAPS conference will be promoted through the website – watch this space for more news.
