84% of UK women believe they gain up to 5 lbs every month

Women around the country dread the monthly bloating that comes as part and parcel of the female cycle, making clothes tight and uncomfortable.
A survey by Aquaban Herbal has also shown that 70% of the population understand that water retention is the likely cause for this monthly wardrobe-limiting weight gain. As part of PMS awareness week Dr Mike Smith and NAP’s own Christine Baker have been discussing how easily water retention can be treated with regional radio stations across the country in a bid to free women from those tight waist bands.
Dr Mike Smith was the medical expert for BBC Radio 2’s Jimmy Young Show and the medical editor for Woman’s Own for nearly three decades as well as maintaining a constant and specialist interest in preventative medicine.
“It has been an interesting experience working with Christine to promote PMS awareness week and more specifically the effects and treatment of water retention. PMS is often not taken seriously and many women suffer from any number of its physical symptoms without even realising that many can be treated,” said Dr Smith.
With Aquaban Herbal helping to rid the monthly bloating women can get advice on how to treat other symptoms of PMS at www.pms.org where NAP’s offer plenty of top tips.
“Dr Smith and I are both huge advocates of looking at diet and lifestyle in the first instance when looking for a suitable treatment for PMS symptoms. However if this doesn’t have enough of an impact, it is good to see more natural remedies being made available on pharmacist’s shelves,” said Christine.
PMS Awareness Week runs from the 11th to the 17th September, so why not let this week be your inspiration to take action to rid your body of those excess water-induced pounds with a little help from Aquaban Herbal?
Aquaban Herbal tablets work by helping to get rid of this unwanted water from the body. This traditional remedy contains a blend of three natural herbal diuretics - Uva Ursi, Clivers and Burdock root – that work to gently reduce the problem without leaving you dehydrated.
