NAPS Highly Commended in national E-Well-being awards
17 Apr 2007
Fantastic news! NAPS is proud to have been highly commended in the Building Social Networks category at the recent National e-Well-being awards held at the Shakespeare Globe Theatre, London.
Established by national charity UK CEED, this is the UK’s only national awards to celebrate the social, economic and environmental benefits of ICT. They showcase the most innovative uses of ICT by local authorities, businesses, third sector organisations and academic institutions and received the largest ever entries this year. Beating a long list of applicants short-listed for Building Social Networks category, sponsored by aol, judges were particularly impressed by the innovative online female health plan developed by NAPS in partnership with web design company, Eonics and Femal, the pollen remedy for PMS.
The centrepiece is our unique interactive menstrual chart that enables women to diagnose and self manage their health and to download the key evidence to improve treatment effectiveness. Women can log symptoms daily online and build a picture of their menstrual fluctuations both in a visual and printable format. The online chart provides a permanent, secure record of symptoms, for use at any time in the future for comparison. Not only does the menstrual chart provide categorical evidence that symptoms are cyclical, but it also shows if there are any improvements following treatment.Commenting on this exciting news, NAPS Chief Executive Chris Ryan says:
“NAPS, Eonics and Femal have together created a powerful new diagnostic tool that helps women take control over their health. It was marvellous news to be highly commended in such a competitive category.”
