A new guide on PMS

NAPS invited by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists to assist with new patient guide

NAPS has been invited by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists to assist in preparing advice to sufferers on Premenstrual Syndrome

The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists has produced a Green Top Guide on PMS for its members and in parallel with this, it is preparing information which can be disseminated to patients. It is seen to be important, that the draft information is reviewed by sufferers and NAPS has been asked to distribute a number of information sheets and questionnaires,to members, for this purpose.
It is very encouraging that PMS has gained such recognition by a body which represents so many practitioners who will be approached for treatment by PMS sufferers. It is also heartening, that it is seen to be necessary, that the women who suffer, will have their views represented in the process of producing patient information, by some who have experienced PMS first hand. This is the sort of initiative that PMS sufferers have been crying out for for years and it is a measure of the reputation of NAPS, as a respected patient advocacy group, that it have been asked to facilitate this undertaking.
