NAPS New Year Appeal

Help NAPS to help yet more sufferers in 2009

NAPS New Year Appeal

This has been a challenging year for NAPS with our having to run the Association purely on the goodwill of volunteers. Ideally we would like to have raised sufficient funds by now to appoint administrative staff but as we all know, the economic climate is less than favourable and we have to live with that for the moment. Obviously, we are in constant need of income: however efficiently we manage our resources, we cannot avoid basic expenditure and in order for us to serve the needs of sufferers, we have to maintain our IT base, as well as promoting awareness of PMS through the media and to health professionals.
We have been touched by the many messages of appreciation we have received and also by  donations made with renewals, as one -off contributions or as regular monthly payments. However, it would be true to say that donations at the moment form a very small part of our income. We do, of course, realise that this is a difficult time for us to ask you to make a donation to NAPS but the harsh reality is, that unless we help ourselves, we cannot guarantee that we can ensure support for sufferers in the future.
One thing is certain, the needs of PMS sufferers will always be there and we have to ensure that NAPS is there too, to meet those needs.
If you are able to make a donation and,  of course , we do appreciate that some of you may not, then please send a cheque to NAPS, 41 Old Road , East Peckham, Kent TN12 5AP, made payable to NAPS. Any sum, however small, will be gratefully received. If you would like to make a monthly donation by standing order, then please contact Jackie Howe  (Acting CEO and Hon Treasurer) by letter or by email contact@pms.org  Please note that a standing order does not have to be for a large amount and can be cancelled at any time.
All donations made by UK Tax payers attract Gift Aid, whereby NAPS can claim 25p in every pound donated.
If you are happy for NAPS to benefit from Gift Aid, please make the following declaration with your donation; name, address, charity name, detail of the donation saying it is a Gift Aid donation, confirmation that you pay UK tax.
Final Food for Thought
If every person who received  the NAPs bulletin, donated just £1 then the Association would immediately have an extra £10,000 ( plus maximum of £2,500 Gift Aid ) with which to help guarantee the future. With even a modest increase on that minimum donation, support for PMS sufferers now and in the future would be ensured. We hope we can count on many of you to respond to this appeal.Thank you.
