NAPS announces that its new publication 'NAPS Guidelines for the Management of Premenstrual Syndrome'will be sent to all GP practices in the UK

With the help of an educational grant from Bayer Schering Health, NAPS has undertaken a complete re-write of its handbook for Health Professionals.  Now to be called  "NAPS Guidelines for the Management of Premenstrual Syndrome",  the new publication, which takes into account current research and newly available treatments, will allow GPs and practice nurses to access up-to-date information on the aetiology, incidence, symptoms and treatment of PMS in a user-friendly format. Included in the six page booklet is an algorithm of treatment options, which will also be available to members of the Association.
This publication will help NAPS fulfil its aim of improving awareness of both PMS and its treatment amongst those who are responsible for the care of PMS sufferers.
It should, therefore, be of significant benefit to many of those who seek help and support from their GPs in their struggle to manage their PMS successfully.
