Tributes to Pat Tracey
A valued NAPS volunteer remembered
Pat Tracey much mourned by NAPS members and staff alike
Jackie Howe, Acting CEO was able to pay a tribute on behalf of NAPS at Pat’s funeral service held at St James Church, Lostock Hall, Preston. Not surprisingly the church was full; Pat was an active member both of the church and the local community and a woman with an abiding faith. It was a privilege for Jackie to speak of the wonderful work she had done for NAPS, over the many years she had committed herself to the support of PMS sufferers.
We have received moving tributes to Pat and would like to share the following with you:
From Paula Bond
‘Hello all at NAPS. I just wanted to pass on my condolences to you all on the very sad loss of Pat. Pat trained me for the Helpline and continued to be a constant source of support to me and I am very sad at the loss of such a wonderful, wonderful person. I know she had a very difficult time in her life but her dedication and support will never be forgotten by me and the many others she has helped over the years. She is an inspiration to us all....’
From Jim and Nicky Cooper (past committee members and helpline volunteers)
‘We would both like to state our shock at the tragic death of Pat Tracey, with whom we both had the pleasure of working and manning the Helpline. She will be sadly missed not only by her family but also by NAPS and all of the women out there, who are still suffering from this misunderstood condition.....’
