Another fundraiser for NAPS
Claire Bellone plans a sponsored cycle ride in September
Claire contacted NAPS to let us know that she intends to raise funds for NAPS, through a sponsored cycle ride, and we asked her to write a piece for the bulletin.
This is what she says:
“I am a Specialist Nurse working with consultants Nick Panay and Claudine Domoney in the Menopause and Premenstrual Syndrome clinic at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. We have a very busy and successful service, meeting the needs of all ages of women suffering with PMS. I have been hugely impressed by the women I meet who come into our clinic. Sometimes their treatments see miraculous results and for other women it is a long challenging journey. But one of the important resources to help all these women is this superb charity that gives generously from expertise in its field, as well as emotional and practical support from fellow PMS sufferers.
“I want to positively support this charity and thought this could best be done by raising much needed funds. I am planning to do a bike ride on the 20th September and cycle a ‘marathon’ and I have commandeered my friends and family to cycle with me to ensure I finish! I have set up a page on www.justgiving.com/claire-bellone if you wish to encourage me along.”Great was the excitement at NAPS headquarters to hear of the challenge which Christine has set herself to raise funds to benefit all PMS sufferers.
We wish her courage and success, and very much hope that readers of this bulletin will feel able to make a donation to Claire’s JustGiving site.
