New website to provide UK-wide counselling support network

NAPS helps promote pioneering initiative

NAPS has lent its support to a new website www.counselling-directory.org.uk which will ultimately provide the UK with a huge counselling network, enabling those in distress to find a counsellor close to them and appropriate to their needs. This is a free confidential service that will, it is hoped, encourage those in distress to seek help.

The website also contains a number of sections on emotional disorders (types of distress section) and provides some useful statistics.

Every counsellor on the site who has submitted their profile, has either sent a copy of their qualifications and insurance cover to the owners of the site, or is registered with a professional body online with recognised codes of ethics and practice. This is to ensure the professionalism of the counsellors.

We know that this site will be of considerable help to many PMS sufferers, so we are pleased to be able to publicise it both in the bulletin and on the Links page of our own website.
