Women’s Health Tsar: statement from the Chairman

NAPS, the National Association for Premenstrual Syndromes, is delighted that Dame Lesley Regan is to be appointed as Women’s Health Tsar in England. She has shown herself to be a real champion of women’s health issues across the whole life span and with an estimated 800,000 impacted so severely by PMS as to disrupt their physical, psychological, social and economic wellbeing, this news has to be at last the beginning of the major change in women’s health care that we have campaigned for tirelessly since 1984.

We anticipate a much brighter future for those whose interests we represent and are sure that Dame Lesley will embrace this challenging role with vision and also an unrelenting sense of purpose.
